Additional Requirements for Passport Applications

To ensure that Filipino household service workers are adequately protected, it is preferable that when they apply for the renewal of an expired or expiring passport or for the replacement of a lost or damaged passport, the following additional supporting documents be submitted as well:

• Valid employment contract verified by the Labor Attaché and authenticated by the Consular Officer in charge (in the absence of a valid employment contract, please click here or go directly to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office);
• Overseas Employment Certificate issued by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office to cover typical contract period of two years;
• Photocopy of work/residency permits issued by Jordanian authorities (if the permits are already expired, employer must sign guarantee to process new permits)
