Elmer O. Dumlao once again brought pride to his country when he launched his third solo exhibit entitled “ANIMAN” last 01 October 2012 at the Zara Gallery, Grand Hyatt Hotel, in Amman, Jordan. He successfully held two earlier exhibits entitled “Jordan Through the Eyes of Elmer” in 2010, and “Eye to Eye” in 2011.

This year, Dumlao showcased the wealth of his talent and creative passion through a unique blend of modern and ancient themes and styles. The artworks featured in “Animan” depict the crossbreeding of two creatures reincarnated into one unified piece of art. His works show the combination of animals and man sharing similar and complementing, yet at the same time distinct and disparate, behaviors, characteristics, feelings and emotions.

The opening of the exhibit was well-attended by art enthusiasts, as well as by members of the diplomatic corps and the Filipino community. Praise from art critics and the public alike was heaped on Dumlao. A number of his works were immediately sold on the opening day.

Dumlao’s exhibit runs until 26 November 2012. It has been organized in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Amman.
