The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, or CITEM, is one of the export promotions agencies under the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Its main thrust is to promote the Philippines as a reliable source of high-quality products and services through trade fairs, special exhibitions, in-store promotions, trade missions, and other promotional activities in the country and abroad.
The Philippines is also an ideal destination and venue for international meetings, incentive travel groups, conventions, and trade and industry exhibitions and fairs. The Tourism Promotions Board, formerly the Philippine Conventions and Visitors Corporation, of the Department of Tourism is the primary agency responsible for assisting foreign guests who plan to organize such events in the Philippines.
