The Philippine Embassy Basketball Team won its first game of the Best-of-Three Basketball Exhibition Game last 15 June 2012 at Terra Santa, Jabal Webde, organized by the Federation of Filipino Organizations (FilOrg) in Jordan.

The Embassy team is composed of staff and family members of the Philippine Embassy and POLO/OWWA and is headed by Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez, Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. The FilOrg Basketball Team, on the other hand, is composed of presidents and member-representatives of the different Filipino organizations in Jordan.

The fun-filled game ended with a very close score of 61-60 in an overtime period. Game 2 is scheduled on Friday, 29 June 2012. This exhibition game is part of the on-going Sports Fest organized by the FilOrg annually.
