The Embassy of the Philippines is looking for a retainer lawyer who will perform the following for its nationals:

 1.    Mediating with the recruitment agencies and employers on cases of run-away workers at POLO-FWRC.

1. Filing cases before the Jordan Court against employers, agencies that withhold workers’ passports, commit sexual and physical abuse, etc.
2. Handle cases of human trafficking, unpaid salaries, other insurance benefit of OFWs.
3. Mediate with Jordanian authorities regarding administrative cases of OFWs as well as overstay fee of workers.

Qualifications of prospective lawyer:

 1.    Fully conversant in English.

1. With experience in litigating labor and migration cases.
2. Expert in labor, immigration and human rights laws.
3. Extensive networking with NGOs and government agencies.
4. Preferably with experience in dealing with Filipinos.
5. A member of the Jordan Bar Association.
