Ambassador Mahilum-West stated that the signing of the MOU on Cultural Cooperation was one of the highlights of the Embassy’s year-long commemoration of the 40th year anniversary of Philippines-Jordan bilateral relations this year. She also enumerated the Embassy’s various cultural activities in the run-up to the signing which promoted Philippine culture and traditions in the Kingdom, such as the Filipino Film Days, the Sindaw and Ballet Philippines performances and the Pinoy Fiesta and Santacruzan which marked Independence Day this year. She emphasized the Embassy’s readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Culture in ensuring that the MOU is implemented and Philippine and Jordan cultures are promoted in both countries.
