Philippine Ambassador Graces MWO Year-end Celebration

Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos, accompanied by his wife, Madam Geraldine C. Lucero-Santos and Philippine Embassy officers, attended the salo salo and year end celebration of the Migrant Workers Office (POLO-Jordan) last December 30, 2022.

The event, held on the ground floor of the MWO building, featured Christmas dances and songs rendered by Filipino community organizations. It also included the proclamation of the winners of the Parol Making contest organized by POLO-Jordan.

The event likewise served as a commemoration for the 1st year anniversary of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) which was created under RA 11641, otherwise known as the Department of Migrant Workers Act and signed into law by former President Rodrigo R. Duterte on December 30, 2021. END
