Chefs Basketball Association (CBA) Calls on the Philippine Ambassador
The Chefs Basketball Association (CBA) called on the Philippine Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Wilfredo C. Santos, on 01 March 2023, at the Bayanihan Hall of the Philippine Embassy to introduce their organization to Ambassador Santos and other officers of the Embassy.
Eight officers of the CBA headed by their founder, Mr. Wendel Leuterio, and Chairman Mr. Michael Salac led the group to the said meeting.
They also shared with the Ambassador the ongoing 13th season of their basketball tournament - CBA’s flagship activity which aims to promote sportsmanship and strengthen the camaraderie among the participating teams in a healthy competitive setting. The basketball games are scheduled every Friday, at the Our Lady of Nazareth Basketball Court in Jabal Hussein, from 7:00 AM until 12:00 noon.
Ambassador Santos lauded their efforts and wished them well in their endeavors as a Filipino community organization in Amman that uses sports to promote a healthy lifestyle for its members.
CBA was founded in 2008 and is currently composed of around 100 active members, most of whom are working as chefs in different restaurants around Amman. END
