ASEAN Committee in Amman Meets Amman Chamber of Commerce

Philippine Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Wilfredo C. Santos joined the ASEAN Committee in Amman (ACA) Heads of Missions in a working lunch, hosted by ACA Chairman, the Ambassador of Thailand, to meet with key executives from the Amman Chamber of Commerce on 02 May 2023 at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence in Abdoun.

During the meeting, the ASEAN Ambassadors and Jordanian officials discussed areas of cooperation and opportunities for growth in trade and investment. The ASEAN Ambassadors also took the opportunity to promote ASEAN tourism as a gateway to Asia and expressed their interest to build on development projects with the host country, Jordan, which in itself is the transit point to Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Palestine.

The Amman Chamber of Commerce was established in 1923 with the mission to achieve active representation from the business sector of the Kingdom, protect the trade sector’s interests, participate in legislation and lawmaking dialogues, and support economic development in Jordan. END
