Over 300 Filipino Muslim students availed of consular services from the Philippine Embassy on May 10, 2023, during the Embassy’s first-ever Consular Outreach Mission at  Mutah University in the Al Karak Governorate.

Philippine Ambassador to Jordan His Excellency Wilfredo C. Santos led the team in providing consular services, including passport renewal, issuance of Embassy ID, civil registration, Assistance-to-Nationals consultations, and registration for the overseas voting for the 2025 National Elections.

In his remarks during the outreach, Ambassador Wilfredo Santos reiterated to the students the Embassy’s commitment to serve them through these consular services, and encouraged them to avail of these in order to prevent possible difficulties in documentation in the future. The Ambassador also reiterated to the students the important role they play as Filipinos studying in the Kingdom.

“I urge everyone to take your responsibility seriously. Rember that your behavior reflects not only for yourselves but also on your fellow Filipino students and the motherland. I would like to remind everyone of your responsibility to uphold a positive image of the Philippines at all times by following Jordan's social practices and laws.” Ambassador Wilfredo Santos said.

The Philippine Embassy plans to hold this outreach activity in coordination with Mutah University every school semester to bring the Embassy’s services closer to the over 500 Filipino students currently enrolled in the University. END
