Philippine Ambassador Attends the 10th ASEAN Committee in Amman (ACA) Meeting

The Philippine Ambassador to Jordan, H.E. Wifredo C. Santos attended the 10th ASEAN Committee in Amman (ACA) Meeting on 17 July 2023, graciously hosted by the newly appointed ACA Chair, the Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan, H.E. Nasri Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman. The meeting focused on outlining and discussing the ACA's activities for the second half of 2023 under Malaysia's chairmanship.

In the said meeting, the ASEAN ambassadors collectively emphasized the significance of continued engagement with Jordan's government, academe, and the local community with the view to raising awareness and deepening understanding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the Jordanian context. By fostering strong ties and expanding collaborative efforts, the ACA seeks to strengthen ASEAN's presence and enhance mutual cooperation with Jordan.

Ambassador Santos actively contributed to the discussions, underscoring the Philippines' commitment to advancing ASEAN's goals and initiatives in Jordan. The Ambassador further emphasized the importance of engaging with various stakeholders and building meaningful partnerships to broaden ASEAN's reach and impact in the country.
