Philippine Embassy in Jordan Delivers Consular and Other Services in the
The Philippine Embassy in Jordan led by His Excellency Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos successfully delivered different consular and other services in the recently held Consular Outreach Mission in DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Aqaba, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on August 11-12, 2023.
Close to 100 Filipinos availed the Embassy and Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Jordan services such as passport application and release, notarial, Embassy ID/Citizen registration, overseas voter registration, contract verification, welfare assistance, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) membership renewal. Aside from these services, the Philippine Embassy team also provided an information dissemination campaign as they answered queries from clients especially on civil registry services and labor matters.
The consular outreach mission also served as an opportunity for Ambassador Santos to meet with the Filipino community in Aqaba for the first time. He shared updates from the Embassy and its plans for the near future.
The Port City of Aqaba is a four-hour drive by land from the capital city of Amman. It is home to some Filipino nationals mostly working in the hotel and hospitality sector of the Kingdom. Conducting consular outreach missions is a regular program of the Embassy as it remains steadfast in its commitment to deliver services to Filipinos under its jurisdiction. END
