PH Embassy in Jordan conducts emergency meeting with Filipino Community in Gaza, assures Embassy’s readiness to assist

07 October 2023 - The Philippine Embassy in Jordan led by Philippine Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos together with Third Secretaries and Vice Consuls Angeli A. Payumo and Sheila Marie G. Andales conducted an emergency meeting with the Filipino Community in Gaza to assess the situation in their respective areas following the airstrikes carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces and Qassam Brigades.

Ambassador Santos reiterates the Embassy's appeal to Filipinos to stay vigilant and cautious at all times and to remain in their residences as much as possible, and to prepare their necessary travel documents and other important documents for possible repatriation. Filipinos are encouraged to continue to monitor the security situation through official communication channels.
