PH Embassy in Jordan Kicks Off the ASEAN Committee in Amman Chairmanship with a New Year Gathering

AMMAN 20 January 2024 — To kick off the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Amman, Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Wilfredo C. Santos hosted the ACA New Year Gathering on 20 January 2024 at the Mövenpick Hotel Amman.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Santos said, “2024 should be a very good year for all of us, and to start the year by holding this light gathering before we undertake the important initiatives to promote ASEAN in Jordan.”

The event was attended by Ambassadors from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, and the ACA Working Group.

The gathering was an open mic lunch event where the ACA ambassadors and working group enjoyed a friendly singing session, which aimed to give the ACA members an opportunity to get together for a light event before its 12th ACA Meeting on 28 January 2024. END
