Ambassador Alkhraisha warmly welcomed the ASEAN Ambassadors and the accompanying delegation with the Deputy Director of JID, Minister Plenipotentiary Rasheed T. Arekat.

During the meeting, Ambassador Santos highlighted ACA’s aim to bring its engagement with Jordan to a higher level by promoting greater awareness and cultural understanding of the ASEAN region among the Jordanian people and deeper economic ties between the ASEAN and Jordan. The ACA hopes to achieve this objective through a deeper engagement with the Institute, paving the way for enhanced collaboration and knowledge exchange, Ambassador Santos remarked.

Both sides discussed potential collaborative activities to realize these goals such as the conduct of an ASEAN Lecture series and the possibility of entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The signing of the MOU seeks to establish and develop mutual cooperation between the JID and the respective diplomatic training institutions of the ACA members in the field of diplomacy and related disciplines.
