Filipino Student Receives Outstanding Award from the University of Jordan

The Philippine Embassy in Jordan congratulates Filipino student Mardhea Pendulonan Abduljalal, who received the Outstanding International Student award at the University of Jordan in a ceremony held in the University garden on 22 August 2024.

In his speech during the program, the University of Jordan President Dr. Nathir Obeidat emphasized the importance of meeting society's needs through education. According to Dr. Obeidat, the university plans to continuously ensure that its curriculum and infrastructure align with changing societal demands. He said further that the presence of international students at the university greatly helps enrich the educational and cultural experience for all.

The event celebrated unity among students from various countries, fostering values of love and brotherhood. Several diplomats from different countries were in attendance. The Philippine Embassy was represented by Second Secretary and Consul Angeli A. Payumo, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Sheila Marie Andales, and Cultural Officer Elijah Ang-Encarnacion. END
