Philippine Embassy Ladies Participate in Indonesian Festivities

AMMAN, 08 September 2024 - The Philippine Embassy Ladies headed by Madame Geraldine C. Lucero-Santos, spouse of Philippine Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos, joined the ASEAN Ladies Circle in Amman (ALCA) in a coffee morning meeting and lunch hosted by Madame Dhani Sarwono, spouse of the Indonesian Ambassador, at the Indonesian Residence in Jordan on 08 September 2024.

The event began with remarks from Madame Dhani followed by a presentation of the  financial report from the current ALCA treasurer, Ms. Elijah Ang-Encarnacion from the Philippine Embassy. Gifts were then presented to two departing ALCA members, Madame Mahani Taja’ah from the Embassy of Brunei and Mrs. Ayu Takariawan from the Embassy of Indonesia. Additionally, the ALCA ladies also greeted two new members, one from the Embassy of Malaysia and the other from the Embassy of Indonesia.

The ALCA ladies participated in the Indonesian festivities which showcased traditional games. These interactions not only reflected a profound respect for local customs but also fostered unity and mutual appreciation among the ASEAN ladies.

Around 30 ladies attended the event from the Embassies of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The event concluded with a sumptuous buffet lunch featuring Indonesian cuisine and a lively group karaoke singing. END
