The Conference, themed "Forging Collaboration and Convergence for Advancing Women, Peace, and Security," will act as a global review of the progress made in implementing the WPS agenda ahead of the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 in October 2025.

The event seeks to support efforts to create pathways and develop joint strategies to overcome obstacles to women’s full and meaningful participation in peacebuilding and to integrate gender perspectives in the promotion of peace and security.

Both sides expressed optimism about the outcomes of the forthcoming conference and reiterated their commitment to advancing the women empowerment agenda on both national and international platforms.
