PH Embassy Connects with PTIC-Dubai and Nafith Logistics
07 October 2024 – The Philippine Embassy, through its Political and Economic Section, facilitated a virtual meeting between the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Dubai (PTIC-Dubai) and the Chairman of Nafith Logistics, Mr. Sameer Mubarak, to discuss prospective investments in the Philippines in the logistics sector.
The meeting focused on the possibility of Nafith Logistics expanding their operations in the Philippines, which is expected to create numerous job opportunities in the country and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Nafith Logistics, known for its technology-based logistics solutions and global reach, has expressed keen interest in establishing a regional hub in the Subic Freeport Zone. The company’s investment is anticipated to not only improve domestic logistics capabilities but also strengthen the Philippines' position as a key economic partner of Jordan.
Trade Commissioner Vichael Roaring stated that PTIC-Dubai plays a crucial role as the frontline office of the Department of Trade and Industry in promoting foreign trade and investment. He expressed their readiness to assist Nafith Logistics to facilitate any investment or engagement in the Philippines.
Nafith Logistics is a logistics and supply chain management company based in the Middle East. The company specializes in providing a range of logistics services, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, warehousing, and transportation solutions. It also promotes, designs, builds and operates trade and transport facilitation services for public and private sector customers to improve operating efficiency, productivity, and security of land-transport freight operations and to automate trade practices. Joining the meeting were Second Secretary and Consul Angeli A. Payumo, Third Secretary Vice Consul Sheila Marie G. Andales, and Political and Economic Assistant Ma. Jolina M. Guerrero. The PTIC-Dubai were represented by Trade Commissioner Vichael Angelo D. Roaring and Senior Trade and Investment Specialist Ms. Roppe Jubilado. END
