PH Embassy and Jordanian Businessmen Association Discuss Areas for Collaboration

19 January 2025 - With the goal of enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the Philippines and Jordan, Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos met with key officials of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) to discuss upcoming activities and possible collaboration. 

Ambassador Santos highlighted the importance of business delegation visits and joint ventures in fostering closer economic ties and promoting trade and investment opportunities for both countries. Both sides discussed upcoming initiatives that will bring together businesses from both the Philippines and Jordan, particularly in the food and agricultural sector.  

The Jordanian Businessmen Association welcomed this development and expressed keenness in participating in the said efforts and activities. 

Joining Ambassador Santos at the courtesy call were Second Secretary and Consul Angeli A. Payumo, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Sheila Marie G. Andales and Political and Economic Assistant Ma. Jolina M. Guerrero. The Jordanian Businessmen Association was represented by Secretary General Engr. Abdulrahim Al-Buqai and Director General Mr. Tareq Hijazi END
