PH Ambassador Santos Congratulates the 19 Islamic Lecture Graduates of the Union of Overseas Bangsamoro (UOB) Women's Chapter

The 19 female graduates during the First Commencement Exercises of the Union of Overseas Bangsamoro (UOB) Women's Chapter with Philippine Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Wilfredo C. Santos on 24 January 2025 at the Zaina Hotel in Amman.

AMMAN 24 January 20254 – Philippine Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Wilfredo C. Santos delivered a heartfelt message during the First Islamic Lecture Commencement Exercises of the Union of Overseas Bangsamoro (UOB) Women's Chapter at the Zaina Hotel in Amman.

In his address, Ambassador Santos expressed immense pride in the achievements of the 19 graduates, emphasizing their resilience, determination, and commitment to education and personal growth despite the challenges they face abroad. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the graduates, who embody the theme, “Seek Knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave,” reflecting the Filipino and Muslim values of lifelong learning.

"As your Ambassador here in Jordan, I take great pride in seeing Filipinos abroad, particularly the women here today, who have proven that no barrier is too great when there is a sincere commitment to education and personal growth," said Ambassador Santos. He highlighted the importance of Muslim studies in deepening understanding of Islam, promoting peace, tolerance, and unity, and emphasized its role in ensuring that future generations of Filipinos stay connected to their faith, heritage, and values.

The Ambassador also encouraged further support for such initiatives, which he believes will continue to empower and uplift Filipino women and families, enabling them to reach their fullest potential.

To conclude, Ambassador Santos congratulated all the graduates for their remarkable achievement and encouraged them to continue seeking knowledge, inspiring others, and effecting positive change within their communities. 

The Ambassador was accompanied by Third Secretary and Vice Consul, Sheila Marie G. Andales, Foreign Liaison Officer Michael Ragnar Supeña, and Cultural Officer Rachel Joy A. Pamorada, together with the Migrant Workers Office in Jordan headed by Labor Attaché Armi Evangel N. Peña, Welfare Officer Rosalin R. Lavin, Ms. Maymuna A. Anduang, Ms. Mais Omar I.
