AMMAN, 10 February 2025 – A Philippine business delegation comprising 12 companies and 21 representatives conducted a series of supermarket scanning and sales calls in Amman to gain a deeper understanding of the Jordanian market and directly engage key retail players.
The delegation visited five of Jordan’s leading hypermarkets—Hypermax, Sameh Mall, Cozmo, Asia Market, and Premier—to assess consumer preferences, pricing structures, and product placements. The initiative allowed the Filipino exporters to identify market entry opportunities and align their offerings with local demand.
Beyond market research, the delegation also held direct discussions with supermarket officials where they had the opportunity to pitch their high-quality Filipino food products and services that could cater to Jordanian consumers.
Recognizing the Philippines’ strength in food and personal care, the mission primarily focused on food and agribusiness, including halal-certified products, processed food and beverages, and personal care and cosmetics.
The supermarket visits form part of a broader effort to enhance trade relations between the Philippines and Jordan, ensuring that Filipino products gain greater visibility and competitiveness in the region.END
