PH Embassy Provides Online Voting Briefing for FILCOM

AMMAN, 15 March 2025 - In an effort to increase the Filipino voters’ awareness on the Online Voting for the 2025 National Elections Overseas, the duly-appointed members of the Electoral Boards of the Philippine Embassy in Amman provided a briefing for the Filipino Community Leaders and Members in Jordan, including personnel of the Migrant Workers Office, held at the Bayanihan Hall of the Philippine Embassy on 14 March 2025.

In his Welcome Remarks, Philippine Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos highlighted the importance of the Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC) initiative of bringing Voting closer for the overseas Filipinos, through Online Voting.

The briefing covered pertinent topics such as the importance and security features of the online voting, pre-enrolment procedures, voting procedures, Election Offenses, and Guidelines for Accredited Watchers, using COMELEC-provided sample illustrations of the online voting, and followed by a Q&A session.

The Philippine Embassy in Jordan is among the 77 Philippine Embassies and Consulates that will be implementing the inaugural Online Voting for the 2025 National Elections Overseas.

Online Voting for Filipinos in Jordan as well as in other designated Philippine Foreign Service Posts runs from 13 April (8AM local time) to 12 May 2025 (2PM local time) with Voting Enrolment starting from 20 March 2025 until 7 May 2025. END
