Philippine Embassy in Jordan Participates in "One Run Through Jordan" Marathon

AMMAN 24 May 2025 - The Philippine Embassy in Jordan, led by H.E. Ambassador Wilfredo C. Santos, participated in the inaugural "One Run Through Jordan" marathon held on 24 May 2025. The event, organized by Run Through Jordan, featured multiple race categories including 1KM, 5KM, 10KM, and 21KM, attracting participants from diverse backgrounds.

Ambassador Santos, alongside all Embassy staff and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), joined around 120 Filipino nationals in the marathon, emphasizing the importance of physical wellness and community engagement. Their participation underscored the Filipino community's commitment to health, unity, and international camaraderie.

A notable achievement during the event was the performance of Ms. Emy Gonzaga, a Filipino runner who secured second place in the female 21KM division. Her accomplishment showcased the emerging talent of Filipinos in athletic competitions.
