There are an estimated 26,000 to 28,000 Filipino nationals presently living and working in Jordan. More precise statistics are unavailable because many Filipinos are unable to register at the Embassy for a variety of reasons. In most cases, this is either because they are unaware of the importance of registering with the Embassy as a Filipino national or because they are not allowed by their employers to take some time off from their work so that they could register with the Embassy.

The Embassy is working on both issues to raise awareness of the importance of registering as a Filipino citizen and to convince employers that they should allow their Filipino workers to register with the Embassy.

How to register as a Filipino citizen

To register yourself with the Embassy as a Filipino citizen, you may personally appear to register at the Embassy. Please note submission of required information. You will still have to personally appear at the Embassy to present proof of identification (e.g. the original and photocopy of your Philippine passport) and proof of identification (i.e. passport, iqama, previous Embassy ID, Postal ID, Voters ID)
